Architectural Kitchens and Baths, Inc. is in the "listening" and service business. We provide
kitchen, bath and multi-media design, as well as detailed installation. The process begins with
the development of functional floor plan. Then a "perspective sketch" or "3D" sketch is
drawn which enables the client to visually step into their dream kitchen or bath.
Over a series of 5 meetings, the first two meeting we focus strictly on just the functional
floor plan, the working triangle, sizes of appliances, pot and pan storage, can food storage,
primary and secondary work countertops, cutlery drawers, garbage and recycle centers,
baking areas, task lighting (under the cabinet ) and general overhead lighting. The next 3
meetings we discuss cabinetry, choices of stains, glazes and finishing techniques, species of
woods, appliances, countertop materials, back-splash and flooring options, and plumbing
fixtures. All decisions are made based on the personal preferences and needs of each client.
Our services include design, installation, alterations and sales of several different cabinet lines,
counter surfaces, flooring, appliances, sinks and faucets, and lighting. We would follow the
same format when discussing bathrooms and multimedia centers, except the criteria would
change.
The owners, Steven Haas and Marino Ceko, have been in the business for over 27 years and
are fully licensed in Nassau, Suffolk, and the Five Boroughs. Our unblemished record with
Consumer Affairs and the fact that more than 80% of our business comes through word of
mouth attests to our skill and credibility.
The reason for the success of AKB is their philosophy of maintaining the highest levels of

deep sense of accomplishment." Our updated showroom features the latest models and styles
and we welcome collaboration with Interior Designers and Architects. We stay on top of the
latest developments in the field by attending trade shows and are active in the National
